Access Plantation Booking Reports
Plantation booking reports are filed through the Broward Sheriff's Office. Plantation sits in the central part of Broward County and has about 100,700 residents. The city has its own police department for local law enforcement, but the Broward Sheriff's Office runs the county jail system where all bookings take place. Anyone arrested in Plantation gets booked at a BSO facility. The booking records are public and can be searched online using BSO's arrest search portal and booking blotter at no cost.
Plantation Quick Facts
Plantation Booking Process
When Plantation Police arrest someone, the person goes to one of the Broward Sheriff's Office jail facilities for booking. BSO operates four jail sites. The Main Jail Bureau at 555 SE 1st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale is the primary intake site. Other locations include the Joseph V. Conte Facility and the North Broward Bureau, both in Pompano Beach, and the Paul Rein Detention Facility also in Pompano Beach.
At the jail, staff process the booking. They take fingerprints, a booking photo, and enter all charge information into the system. The result is a booking report. This document shows the person's name, charges, arrest date, bond amount, and other details. It becomes a public record right away. Plantation does not run its own jail, so every booking from a Plantation arrest goes into the BSO system.

Search Plantation Arrest Records
BSO provides two free tools for searching booking reports from Plantation. The Broward Arrest Search lets you look up individuals by name and booking date. You type in a last name, first name, or both. Results show the holding facility, arrest number, charges, bail and bond amounts, custody info, and release details. This tool covers everyone currently held at a BSO jail plus recent releases. It is the quickest way to find a Plantation booking report.

The Broward Booking Blotter shows a running list of recent bookings from across the county. It is useful if you want to browse recent arrests rather than search for one person. The blotter includes Plantation bookings along with all other Broward cities. You can filter by date to find what you are looking for.
The booking blotter shown above from bookingblotter.sheriff.org lists recent bookings across the county. Plantation arrests appear here along with arrests from Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and other Broward cities.
Plantation Booking Records Under Florida Law
Booking reports from Plantation are public records. Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes says that all state, county, and municipal records are open for personal inspection and copying by any person. This covers booking reports from every city in the state, including Plantation. You can ask for a copy at any reasonable time. The agency must provide access.
Not everything in a booking record is public. Under Chapter 943, juvenile booking records are restricted unless the person was charged with a felony. Medical records, mental health information, and personal identifiers like Social Security numbers are not public. If a Plantation booking record has been sealed or expunged by a court, it will not appear in any public search. BSO cannot even confirm it existed at that point.
Plantation Arrest Booking Photos
Every person booked at a BSO jail after a Plantation arrest gets a booking photo taken. The photo is part of the public record and may show up in the arrest search tool or the booking blotter. Third-party sites sometimes collect and post these photos.
Florida Statute 901.43 protects people from websites that charge to take down booking photos. It is against the law for a for-profit site to demand payment for removing a booking photo. If you send a written request to remove the photo, the site must do so within 10 days. If it does not, you can bring a civil action and the penalty is $1,000 per day. That goes up to $5,000 per day if the site puts the photo back up after taking it down. This law protects people booked from Plantation arrests and from every other city in Florida.
Broward Detention and Plantation Records
The Broward Department of Detention manages all jail operations across the county. This department handles the booking process for Plantation arrests and oversees the four jail facilities in the system. Their page on the BSO website has details about visitor rules, inmate mail, and how the system works from booking to release.
The detention department page shown above at BSO's website gives an overview of jail operations that handle Plantation bookings. For general questions about the BSO system, the main website at sheriff.org is the best starting point.
State-Level Records for Plantation
If someone arrested in Plantation gets sentenced to state prison, their record moves to the Florida Department of Corrections database. This search portal covers all state prison inmates and refreshes each week. You can search by name or DC number. The database covers active inmates, released inmates, and people on supervised release.
The Florida Department of State maintains a list of all 67 county jails with links to their search pages. FDLE at 850-410-7000 handles criminal history questions that go beyond what BSO provides for Plantation booking records.
Note: The state corrections database covers only people serving state prison sentences, not those held at the county level after a Plantation arrest.
