Jacksonville Booking Reports
Jacksonville booking reports are public records kept by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The city has a consolidated government with Duval County, so the JSO handles all arrests and booking records for the entire area. With more than one million residents, Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida by population. The sheriff's office runs its own jail system and posts booking data online. You can search for current and past inmates through the JSO website, and most booking details stay on the system for 90 days after a person is released from custody.
Jacksonville Quick Facts
Jacksonville Booking Records Online
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office runs an online inmate search tool at inmatesearch.jaxsheriff.org. This is the main way to look up booking reports in Jacksonville. The system lets you search by first name, last name, jail number, or JSO ID. Results show charges, bond amounts, housing location, next court date, and the booking photo. The database gets new data every 30 minutes, so it stays close to real time.
Even after someone gets out of jail, their booking info stays on the site for 90 more days. That means you can still find recent arrest records for people who are no longer in custody. The tool is free to use. You do not need to make an account or pay a fee. Just go to the site and type in a name to start your search for Jacksonville booking reports.
The JSO also has an inmate resources page at jaxsheriff.org/Resources/inmates.aspx that covers visitation rules, mail policies, and how to send money to an inmate. This is a good place to start if you need more than just booking data.
Search Tools for Jacksonville Arrests
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office main site at jaxsheriff.org is the hub for all booking report access in Duval County. The screenshot below shows the JSO homepage where you can find links to inmate search, arrest data, and jail resources.
From the main site, you can get to the inmate search tool. It pulls data from the JSO Jail Management System and shows all current inmates plus anyone released in the last 90 days. Under Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, these booking records are public. Any person can view them without giving a reason. The law says that all state, county, and municipal records are open for inspection by any person.
The inmate search page shown above is where you type in a name or number. You can view each result to see the full booking report with all charges and bond details. The JSO also offers a Public In Sheet Report that lists recent bookings in order.
Jacksonville Jail Facilities
Jacksonville has three jail facilities run by the sheriff's office. Each one holds different types of inmates. All bookings start at the main jail downtown. From there, inmates may get moved to one of the other sites based on their charges and custody level.

The John E. Goode facility is where all new arrests in Jacksonville get processed. Your booking report is created here. The booking process includes fingerprints, a photo, and entry of your charges into the system. Under Chapter 943 of the Florida Statutes, law enforcement must capture fingerprints and facial images of adults charged with felonies or misdemeanors. This data feeds into the statewide criminal justice information system.
Note: The JSO headquarters is at 501 E. Bay Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202, but bookings happen at the Goode facility on Adams Street.
Visitation and Inmate Contact in Jacksonville
Jacksonville does not allow in-person visits. All visits are done by video. You can schedule a visit up to 14 days ahead of time, but you must give at least 24 hours of notice. There are two ways to visit.
Remote video visits cost $0.25 per minute and you set them up through GettingOut.com. Onsite video visits are free. The onsite center at the Goode facility is open Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is one of the few free options for seeing someone who has been booked in Jacksonville.
To send money to an inmate, you have three choices. You can go online at www.inmatedeposits.com. You can call 1-866-345-1884 any time of day. Or you can use the kiosks in the lobby of the John E. Goode facility. Money deposits help inmates pay for commissary items and phone calls while they are in the Jacksonville jail system.
The JSO inmate resources page shown above lists all the rules for mail, visits, and deposits. Keep in mind that booking reports for juveniles, sealed records, and medical files are not available to the public. Under Chapter 901 of the Florida Statutes, booking photos are public but websites cannot charge fees to remove them. If a site asks you to pay to take down a booking photo, that is against Florida law.
State Records for Jacksonville Residents
If someone from Jacksonville gets sent to state prison after their case, their record moves to the Florida Department of Corrections. You can search for state inmates at fdc.myflorida.com. That database covers all state prisons and gets a full refresh each week. Release dates and location changes update each night.
The Florida Department of State also keeps a master list of all county jails and inmate search tools at dos.fl.gov. This is a good backup if you need to check booking records in a county other than Duval. It has links, addresses, and phone numbers for every sheriff's office in the state.
Duval County Booking Reports
Jacksonville is Duval County. The consolidated government means the city and county share the same sheriff's office, jail system, and booking records. For the full county page with all details on courts, fees, and related records, see the Duval County booking reports page.
